Graham Phillips



Introduction

Graham Phillips is the joint managing director of The Marketing Group which is a UK based sales and marketing consultancy business. Working with six associates the organisation specialises in providing sales, marketing and customer service solutions.


Background

Graham Phillips has experience in a number of industry sectors. He started his career working in the travel industry dealing with both business and domestic travel requirements. There followed a period of working in the retail sector, holding a number of senior positions. He then ran one of the largest sales operations in the North West of England for a newspaper publisher. Director level positions followed in Commercial Radio and Video Sales.

For the last ten years Graham has ran his own business initially a marketing services company that grew to 13 regional offices. Following the disposal of this business, seven years ago he jointly launched The Marketing Group to provide specialist sales, marketing and customer care training and consultancy. He also owns the Business Network ( Mersey) Ltd, which is a networking operation for senior decision makers and is joint owner of a telephone appointment making service called The Appointments Factory. He is an occasional lecturer at Manchester Business School and Bangor University.

He is much in demand as a conference speaker and is a well respected seminar presenter travelling throughout England and Europe. This has included a UK government funded project in Poland where he has been working with the major banks to improve their marketing ability


Conferences

Graham is increasingly in demand as a conference facilitator and Chairman where he brings a business approach to proceedings combining the ability to pull different contributions together in support of the key message in an entertaining and forceful way. The ability to handle pressure while being able to respond to the unexpected make him a natural choice for many organisations. During the last twelve months this has included clients such as;
